My friend Wendy Malkin from https://www.facebook.com/thehrannexconsulting/ and I had a conversation on how Covid 19 will change how we work.

As things begin to open up I believe we will see more people work from home on a permanent basis at least part of the time. As someone who has done this for several years now, I have experienced both the good and the bad from working from home and have come up with some pretty good systems that allow me to work with my clients and staff remotely without feeling like things fall through the "cracks"

I am always happy to have a chat and share some of these tips, you can message me here or email me at nicole@bookkeepingandbusinessetc.com

For employers it is very important to come up with good systems, procedures and protocol's to keep the business running smoothly and efficiently over the long term while thinking about the employee's needs at the same time.

Working from home can be very rewarding but it can also be very hard. The feeling of isolation and loneliness can become very real. It is important as we transition into this new normal to remember to reach out to your fellow workers. Continue with Zoom meetings, use an app to chat periodically throughout the day or pick up the telephone and have a conversation.

I would love to hear your thoughts!

How are you handling working from home?
Do you love it?
Would you like to continue working this way or do you miss going to the office?

Are you a Zoom user?

Zoom announced this past week that those who use the video platform for free will no longer have encrypted calls and that this new change will happen sooner than later. This is not a good thing for people using the free version.
