About Us
Shelburne Life Drawing offers both Instructional Life Drawing classes for the beginner (first Tuesday of every month) and Uninstructed Life Drawing (every Wednesday night 7-10pm)
Instructional Life Drawing Classes for the beginner:
This class is designed for the absolute beginner but all levels are welcome. We will be starting with the basics, an introduction to anatomy, how to measure for proportion, discuss various art materials and their advantages in portraying the human form. Basic materials will be provided - large newsprint pad, charcoal or conte sticks or pencils. This list is just the basic materials we will use, feel free to bring any other dry pigment material in addition to the list, i.e. pastels, pencil crayons, graphite pencils (4B and up). Classes are held one Tuesday evening per month, from 7:00-10:00pm (check the calendar on www.lifedrawing.webscom for dates). Cost is $35 which includes instruction by artist Ken Logue, materials and model fee.
Uninstructed Life Drawing classes:
These classes are for the beginner to the accomplished artist - all are welcome! We alternate male and female models each week. The last Wednesday of the month we offer a long pose (30 minute warm up with at 2.5hr pose).
