We first met Bob when he and his crew installed a driveway culvert at our home as part of our gravel driveway repair. At that time, we were searching for a company to dig for us a new well. We knew we had lots of water in the first aquifer, but with only one well boring company in Ontario willing to travel to the area it made it nearly impossible to get any commitment from them. That’s when Bob and his crew stepped up and advised us he could complete the job. We are very grateful for his professionalism and commitment to quality work. Since the new well was hooked up we’ve had no problem with flow - even through a very dry summer-fall! And the water quality and taste has been a huge improvement!!!!

Bob Holmes has done a lot of work for myself including some framing and tile work. He has also done some insulation and excavation. Bob has a multi tasking personality, and is one of the few contractors out there looking to save you a dime, rather than hit you with a big check at the end of a job! Five stars!

Over the years of doing business with Holmes Contracting we've learned a few things. Of the things we've learned is that although we have good ideas; they don't always make sense in the grand scheme of things. Bob has given us advice with our projects that has saved us an abundance of funds due to the efficiency of his approach. We found him easy to work with, happy to work with us and eager to do what we need without having his interest in hindsight. For example, we had several trees to remove from our property and asked Bob to do the job. Knowing we are an outdoorsy type couple and knowing we were on a budget, Bob then asked us if we could cut the trees down ourselves and tend to the firewood allowing him to deal with the stumps and excavation. In our experience most contractors would have jumped on the opportunity charging as much as possible to get the job done regardless if it's a job we can do ourselves. In our opinion when choosing a contractor to get work done, we would rather choose a company that cares as much about us as they do about the check at the end of the job. Time and time again Bob has earned our trust and respect. We know now when we want something done, we call Bob first and he helps us figure out the most cost effective solution while doing the job right the first time.
